Instagram brought us 24 hour stories, evolving the social media network, in an effort to compete with Facebook.
While the big news yesterday was Instagram, another social media giant announced additional changes to their news feed too. In the LinkedIn Official blog, the social media network for professionals announced a new feature that flew under the radar. Jonathan Sherman-Presser, Senior Product Manager at LinkedIn, introduced us to video in the news feed.
Unlike the other social media networks, LinkedIn has only invited roughly 500 Influencers to try the new feature out. They’ll be allowed to post 30 second clips, that LinkedIn users across the globe can access. When they do, the video will automatically show up in your news feed, where you can comment, like, and interact as normal.
Seeing how video is slowly becoming the way to communicate on social media, it was only a matter of time before LinkedIn jumped on the latest trend.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to seeing your favorite Influencers post on LinkedIn?
